2 years !!

We are still here! We are working hard, finishing jobs at home and trying to take time to rest! We are still learning to trust, as we all do throughout our lives, and have been struck by many bible verses and songs, looking to worship God and ask Him to just be with us. We are ready to move into the next phase of life! We are seeking Him in the quiet and in solitude, not striving, just listening~ My heart has heard you say "Come and talk with me", and my heart responds "Lord I am coming".

Little Light,

We are always thinking of you! What you are doing and when we will finally get the news that you are here. There are a lot of special people in our lives who are excited to meet you too! You are loved and one day we hope you will read all about this journey and know how very special you are too x

We pray this for us and for you...

Psalm 27
A psalm of David.

The LORD is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?
Though a mighty army surrounds me,
my heart will not be afraid.
Even if I am attacked,
I will remain confident.
The one thing I ask of the LORD—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
delighting in the LORD’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple.
For he will conceal me there when troubles come;
he will hide me in his sanctuary.
He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
Then I will hold my head high
above my enemies who surround me.
At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
singing and praising the LORD with music.
Hear me as I pray, O LORD.
Be merciful and answer me!
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”
And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”
Do not turn your back on me.
Do not reject your servant in anger.
You have always been my helper.
Don’t leave me now; don’t abandon me,
O God of my salvation!
Even if my father and mother abandon me,
the LORD will hold me close.

Teach me how to live, O LORD.
Lead me along the right path,
I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness
while I am here in the land of the living.
Wait patiently for the LORD
.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.

Feliz Navidad! Feliz Ano Nuevo!

(Traditional Peruvian nativity scene on our fireplace complete with Llama! A&N~ x!)

We have had a great time catching up with family this Christmas and enjoyed being with friends too. It has been busy as always, and we are now gearing up to get back to school.

Writing here has not happened for a while because Luke has been quite ill following surgery and all my energy went into trying to support him, but I am pleased to say he is on the mend and returning to work slowly. God is good!

It has been a year of change, and God has continued to show us so many new things as well and challenge us to trust Him and rely on His love and faithfulness even when things don't quite go as planned! (This journey included!) We are still hanging on in there, and through trusting God for our future we are learning to give Him our fears, questions and doubts, knowing that He loves us through it all- we are works in progress!

The hardest part is still not seeing the face of our little light. The waiting gets more difficult with time, and we just hope this year we see progress of some kind. In His timing x

xx (Our gift to you! Happy Christmas xx)
